A SMALL TOOL, CLEAR EXPECTATIONS
Terms and conditions.
Effective October 8, 2026
Pagepaint helps you draw, capture, record, and turn page feedback into useful work. You control where that feedback goes.
The hosted service and software license
These terms describe the hosted website, CDN, and optional authentication service maintained by DevPlant. The distributed Pagepaint software is licensed under the MIT license. These service terms do not reduce the permissions granted by that license.
Use and permissions
Use Pagepaint on applications and content you are permitted to review. You are responsible for choosing what appears in screenshots and recordings, granting browser folder or capture permissions, and respecting the rights of others. Do not use the service to attack systems, access accounts without permission, or publish content unlawfully.
Your feedback and exports
Your messages and media remain yours. Feedback is stored locally unless you export it or explicitly create a GitHub issue. We do not take ownership of your feedback or receive it as a hosted submission. Keep a repository copy or ZIP backup if you need a durable record: browser data can be cleared, evicted, or lost, and the service cannot restore it.
Optional GitHub sharing
You choose the account, repository, Project, labels, and attachments before publishing. Review the preview, including URLs and query parameters that may contain private information. Public repositories make published content public. Publishing uploads ordinary repository commits and issues; deleting a local note or signing out does not remove GitHub copies or repository history. GitHub’s own terms and policies apply to its service.
Availability and limitations
The toolkit and hosted service are provided as available without a guarantee of uptime, support, storage durability, or perfect capture fidelity. Browser permissions, storage quotas, supported APIs, protected content, and third-party services may limit functionality. The service may change or become unavailable.
Warranty and liability
The MIT license contains the applicable software warranty and liability terms. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the hosted service is also provided without warranties, and its maintainers are not responsible for losses arising from its use or unavailability. Nothing here excludes rights or liabilities that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.
Privacy, changes, and contact
Read the privacy policy for local storage, authentication, and sharing details. Updates to these terms will appear here with a revised effective date. Contact the maintainers through the GitHub link on the Pagepaint homepage.
